The Acadian Thruway location of TJ Ribs in Baton Rouge will be closed June 27th – mid August 2017 for renovations. Visit our other locations on Siegen Lane and in Prairieville for Legendary Louisiana BBQ.
For 31 years TJ Ribs has been fortunate to be part of the Baton Rouge community. When the restaurant opened, Bill Arnspargar was completing his football career at LSU, Dale Brown had a Final Four run, and the new coach on the block was Skip Bertman. The restaurant originally opened on Highland Road where the original Mike Anderson was once located before they built a shopping center.
Baton Rouge has changed with the times, but Louisiana’s love for food and sports has not. Siegen Lane was once a two-lane country road, and Praireville was “where the State Fair Grounds are located.”
TJ Ribs is proud to announce that as of Monday, June 26th, our restaurant on South Acadian will close for a two-month renovation. The Tudor family (owners of the property), and the Moran family will pull their resources together to update and remodel the restaurant.
New additions to the restaurant will include a John Folse inspired Cochon de Lait, new bar and tap system, retail area, state of the art audio and video system and a perfect place to view the LSU Coaches Shows.
TJ Ribs will reopen before football season. The hiring and training of the staff will begin in early August. TJ Ribs’ Siegen Lane location and the new Praireville location will remain open with regular business hours through the summer.
